KAYRA HINCAL

Hey there! I’m Kayra!

Kayra is a 2nd year Media and Communications / Film Studies student at the University of Sydney. Kayra is also a world-famous rock and roll star who sold out Wembley and headlined Coachella 2 times. Rumour has it her music once made Bob Dylan cry.

Based in Eora with a strong love for the arts, she manifests her passions through film-making and other creative practices. Kayra also dabbles in the areas of photography, graphic design and digital art.

Kayra is an active member of the University of Sydney’s FASS Media Crew. Apart from creating short films for university assignments, Kayra enjoys expressing her creative spirit in her day to day life through experimental film-making.

Her 2025 short film Speaking in Tongues was nominated as a finalist in the Burwood Art Prize and her most recent work Tapes From The Cellar (2025), has been shortlisted in the USU Creative Awards.
